Directional synthesis of furfural compounds from holocellulose catalyzed by sulfamic acid

The coproduction of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (5-HMF) and furfural (FUR) via the direct hydrolysis holocellulose analogue composed cellulose hemicellulose was investigated. effects catalyst amount, solvent type reaction temperature time using sulfamic acid with dual active sites as were also studied. yields 5-HMF FUR at 37.2% 62.0% obtained volume ratio γ-valerolactone to water 25:1 180 °C for 3 h. conversion corn cob wheat straw compounds then carried out under identical conditions. Yields 26.6% 28.5%, 34.5% 26.1% obtained, respectively. A possible mechanism from proposed. It is believed that there a synergistic effect between during holocellulose.
